Man Arrested For Throwing Phone At Bebe Rexha During Concert

A man was arrested after throwing a cell phone at pop star Bebe Rexha’s head during a concert in Manhattan.

Rexha was performing at The Rooftop at Pier 17 when she appeared to be hit in the head.

Security helped her offstage and ended the show early. Rexha was taken to a hospital and reportedly received three stitches.

She posted a photo to Instagram showing off her bandage and a bruise above her eye.

The suspect, 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault in the third degree, one count of harassment in the second degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of attempted assault in the third degree..

According to The Manhattan District Attorney office, Malvagna confessed to throwing the phone, and said, “I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny.”
