Kevin Bacon joins actors protesting against Hollywood studios
Kevin Bacon joined the picket line in solidarity with his fellow SAG-AFTRA members in front of Paramount Studios’ New York headquarters.
SAG-AFTRA, the union representing 160,000 TV and film actors, has officially decided to go on strike alongside the Writers Guild of America (WGA).
The union is demanding transparency and a basic wage for its members, and has been supported by actors such as George Clooney and Jessica Chastain.
The strike is expected to cause financial hardship for many people in the industry, but the union has said that it has been left with no other choice.
The strike began at midnight on July 14th.
