Taylor Swift surprised her fans at her last LA Eras Tour show. The pop superstar announced the re-release of her Grammy-winning album, “1989,” during the acoustic portion of the show.
Taylor thanked fans for supporting her through her journey to re-record her music so she would own it. “The way that you have embraced, that you have celebrated, that you really decided that it was your fight too and that you were 100 percent behind me… I will never stop thanking you for that,” Taylor told fans.
Taylor, who had been wearing blue outfits throughout the night, signifying the hue that was synonymous with “1989,” shared the cover art for her re-release on the big screen, sending the crowd before performing “New Romantics,” off the deluxe version of the album.
Taylor told fans they would have to “deal with her emotions” as the U.S. leg of the tour came to a close. After performing “Champagne Problems,” the singer received an eight-minute standing ovation.
