Miranda Lambert recently sat down with Variety to talk about her new home at Republic, her new single, “Wranglers,” and returning to her home state to record music.  As for her new record label, Lambert said, “…Republic just felt really like something fresh with new ideas and a different way of doing it. Since I’ve been doing it for now 21 years, I’m all about fresh ideas.”  About her song, “Wranglers,” Miranda said, “I think that it’s pretty fiery. I’ve been having people text me and call me and say, “Is Revenge Miranda back?” And I’m like: She never left.” Miranda says Wranglers are not flammable, but she wouldn’t say how she knows that as a fact.  Recording in Texas was big for Miranda, who hails from the big state. “I had not made a record in Texas since I was 18, my independent album,” said Lambert. “I just felt like finally, I’m home. I feel like that on the label; I feel like that recording it in Texas.”
