Dan Reynolds, the frontman of Imagine Dragons, is at peace with the fact that not everyone is a fan of his band. In a recent Rolling Stone interview, he spoke about their latest album “Loom” and the varied reactions it has elicited.
“Imagine Dragons isn’t a band that’s known for subtlety,” Reynolds remarked about the album. “It elicits strong feelings; it’s love or hate.
It embodies the spirit of Vegas — bold and unapologetic from the start.” He recalled their debut, “Our first album had ‘Radioactive’ as its opening track on ‘Night Visions.’ It sets a precedent that continues with ‘Loom’ — it’s a statement of ‘Here we go!’
You’ll either love it or hate it, but that’s preferable to being forgettable or bland.” “Loom” debuted last week. How do you perceive Imagine Dragons’ music, and in what ways do you think it has evolved over time?
