‘Despicable Me 4’ Enjoys Huge July 4th Opening

Moviegoers are getting their Minions fix over the 4th of July weekend. Despicable Me 4 got off to a roaring start at the box office on Wednesday, pulling in $28 million on its first day of release. The sequel is projected to bank over $120 million over the five-day holiday weekend. That would be the biggest weekend yet for the franchise, beating out $99 million for Despicable Me 3 in 2017.
