Meet our Furry Friday Friends of the Week.
Both from Halfway There Rescue.
You may remember our first contestant. Believe it or not, a year later she still looking for her furever family.
Heart was tied to a pole and left alone. Abandoned. She’s deaf, and the fear that came from that experience, unable to flee, unable to hear any noises around her, it left her frantically scanning the world around her, panicked. Her foster has given her time and space and learned how to help lessen her fears, but a part of her will always be cautious and on alert when she is nervous.
For someone willing to look past her quirks, Heart is the ultimate love bug, a dog who naps in the goofiest positions, and has the energy reservoir to play, run, or hike for miles and miles. The best part, she won’t be barking when the doorbell rings, or the vacuum is running. She’s oblivious to the sound of a treat bag opening or noises outside at night. It’s quite peaceful actually!
Are you in the market for a goodest girl? Meet Celia! Celia aka “Teewee” is a 4 year old, 46 pound lab mix with a slick coat, speckled tongue and the best attitude and outlook on her new life. A super quick learner, Celia is crate trained, potty trained and knows some pretty cool tricks. Celia enjoys running errands with her foster pawrents, going on hikes and visiting local breweries. When her foster pawrents work long hours, she doesn’t mind patiently snoozing the day away. She likes people of all ages and sizes and is a pure joy to be around. Celia has positive body language with other dogs and would do fine with slow introductions. If you are looking for a predictable girl with so much love to give, schedule a meet and greet with a Celia — she shines in person
