North Carolina election officials are reminding voters to check if their ballots have been counted.
Voters can use the “Voter Search” tool to verify the status of their ballot, whether they voted early in person or by mail. For further confirmation that a ballot was counted, voters can use the “Voter Search” tool.
The tool will show if the ballot was accepted and counted, with updates typically available the day after voting. Voters who cast provisional ballots can check their status 10 days after the election using the “Provisional Search” tool.
For those who voted absentee by mail, once the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections has received a ballot, voters can verify its status in the “Your Ballot: By Mail or Early Voting” section of the “Voter Search” tool.
The “Voting Method” will indicate “ABSENTEE BY MAIL,” the “Ballot Status” will display “VALID RETURN,” and the “Vote Status” will either be marked “ACCEPTED” or “ACCEPTED – CURED.”
It is important for voters to ensure their ballots have been properly counted to participate in the election process.
