Carowinds is set to introduce a “record-breaking” water ride in 2026 as part of a $1 billion investment to enhance guest experience.
Details about the ride’s design have not been released. The park recently announced plans for new attractions in its Camp Snoopy section, including a family-friendly roller coaster and meet-and-greet experiences with the “Peanuts” gang.
“Our capital investment plans for the next two years reinforce our commitment to providing unmatched thrills, immersive entertainment and lifelong memories to guests of all ages,” Six Flags President & CEO Richard A. Zimmerman said Thursday.
Six Flags, Carowinds’ parent company, will be investing $500 million in 2025 and $525 million in 2026 to improve guest experiences across its properties.
In July 2024, Carowinds’ former parent company, Cedar Fair, merged with Six Flags.
