Meet our furry friends of the week!!!
Both from Gaston County Animal Care & Enforcement. They have a big adoption event going on tomorrow! You can meet both of these guys there! Park’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in Gastonia 11 to 2!
Charley! A 3 year old Terrier mix. Neutered male @ 50lb. Despite Charley losing his family after 3 years, he is still in good spirits with LOTS of love to give. He’s got the goofiest personality, and truly has never met a stranger. His fave past times are playing with his toys (making his people be the ones to fetch), and getting all the loves! Charley is very affectionate, can be dog social with proper introductions, loves to go on long walks and has been described as being the “best boy” by volunteers!
Pumba. 8 year old Terrier mix. Neutered male @ 75lbs. This incredibly sweet boy is large and in charge! Pumba was found as a stray, and really turned himself in honestly.. he was wandering the property of a hotel until he finally let himself in and plopped down in the lobby to relax! His previous foster said that Pumba is crate trained, doing great with house training, very relaxed in the home, and loves the companionship of other confident dogs and people. Pumba is a big ol’ sweetheart and is such a happy boy! Definitely do NOT let his age deter you, he’s got a lot of spunk and a lot of love to give!
As with any rescue or shelter dog, please follow the 3:3:3 rule. These dogs need to decompress….3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine, 3 months to feel safe and part of your home. Give them time and patience. SLOW INTROS are always recommended for any new dog entering a new home.
