Jon Stewart Will Host The Daily Show

Jon Stewart is hosting Thursday’s episode of The Daily Show in response to Disney and ABC’s decision to bench Jimmy Kimmel.

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr threatened Disney over Kimmel’s monologue, saying, “We can do this the easy way or the hard way.”

Thursday’s episode will feature Maria Ressa, a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and CEO of Rappler, who has faced government censorship in the Philippines.

Stewart’s decision to host Thursday’s episode is personal, as late-night hosts face attacks from the Trump administration.

Stewart criticized CBS for canceling The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and called out media companies for bending to Trump, singing, “Go f**k yourself!”
