Eric Dane Cancels Event Due To Health

Actor Eric Dane had to miss the ALS Network’s Champions for Cures and Care Gala due to his amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The ALS Network honored Dane with the Advocate of the Year award, which was accepted on his behalf by his Countdown co-star Aaron Lazar.

Dane had previously missed an on-stage reunion with former Grey’s Anatomy costar Jesse Williams at the 2025 Primetime Emmy Awards due to an injury.
Eric Dane publicly revealed his ALS diagnosis in April 2025 and expressed gratitude for his family’s support.
Despite his diagnosis, Dane returned to TV screens in November and remains committed to his acting career, stating that he will not let the disease deter him from his purpose.
