Reba McEntire Shares Update On Kelly Clarkson’s Kids

Reba McEntire shared that Kelly Clarkson and her children are “hanging in there” following the death of Brandon Blackstock.
McEntire mentioned her stepson Brandon Blackstock during the Grammy Awards, stating, “We let him go to heaven in August, so we’re gonna be celebrating him tonight also.”
Brandon Blackstock, who was McEntire’s stepson and the former manager of Clarkson, passed away in August 2025 after a battle with cancer.
McEntire described Brandon as full of life, joy, and love, and mentioned that they have a text chain where they remember and talk about him.
Kelly Clarkson shared that she has been spending more time snuggling with her children following Blackstock’s death, stating, “There’s been a lot for our family recently, and so I have allowed my kids to sleep with me quite a bit.”
