Authorities Suspect Foul Play in Nancy Guthrie Case

Arizona authorities announced Wednesday that they have no suspect in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “Today” show anchor Savannah Guthrie. Investigators are pursuing hundreds of leads and have called on the public for assistance in locating her.
“At this point, investigators have not identified a suspect or person of interest in this case,” the Pima County Sheriff’s Department wrote on social media. “Detectives are working closely with the Guthrie family.”
Police have declared Guthrie’s rural Tucson residence a crime scene after discovering “suspicious circumstances” at the property. They emphasized that Guthrie, who has limited mobility and requires daily, potentially life-saving medication, “didn’t just walk out.”
Guthrie was last seen at her home on Saturday night, and her disappearance has since taken a troubling turn. Authorities are investigating multiple claims of alleged ransom demands, adding to the growing mystery.
On Tuesday, NewsNation reported finding a blood trail leading from the front door of Guthrie’s home. The blood was visible outside the entrance after the crime scene was cleared and the property was returned to the family.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to uncover the circumstances surrounding Guthrie’s disappearance.
