Amazon Introduces 1-hour And 3-hour Delivery In U.S.

Amazon has expanded its one-hour and three-hour delivery options to over 90,000 orders in some areas of Charlotte as part of a nationwide rollout.
The expedited delivery includes a wide range of items such as pantry goods, electronics, toys, and clothing.
Amazon credits its revamped same-day fulfillment process and predictive AI inventory placement algorithms for enabling faster delivery speeds.
The one-hour delivery option is available in hundreds of cities, while the three-hour option reaches over 2,000 cities and towns across the U.S.
Charlotte is seeing an increase in faster delivery options, including the use of drones for deliveries by companies like DoorDash and Wing, with Walmart planning to launch drone delivery services in the region.
Amazon Prime subscribers will be charged $9.99 for one-hour deliveries and $4.99 for three-hour deliveries, while non-Prime members will pay $19.99 and $14.99, respectively.
